The Office of Undergraduate Research (OUR) fully subscribes to UNLV’s Official Social Media Policy

Monitoring the OUR Fall 2020 Virtual Undergraduate Research Symposium Discussion and Comments
OUR recognizes and respects the freedom of speech and First Amendment rights of the University community. Users are welcomed and encouraged to ask questions, comment on student research projects, and provide respectful and constructive feedback, understanding and acknowledging that this information is available to the public and that other participants may use posted information beyond the control of OUR or UNLV. Users who do not wish to have the information they have made available via these sites used, published, copied and/or reprinted, should not post on OUR’s Symposium Website. Content posted by other users on OUR’s Symposium website does not necessarily reflect the opinions or policies of the Office of Undergraduate Research or UNLV. Links to content on other websites should not be construed as an endorsement of the organizations, entities, views or content contained therein. 

OUR staff will regularly review content posted by other users to its symposium website during the week of November 16-20, 2020. All users are expected to adhere to site-specific Terms of Use when posting content to an official UNLV site including OUR’s Fall 2020 Virtual Undergraduate Research Symposium website. OUR reserves the right to remove content from the symposium websites based on context. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Unlawful communications, including but not limited to, threats of violence, obscenity, and harassing communications
  • Political endorsement and promotion 
  • Spam, advertisements, and promotions by organizations, individuals, and programs not affiliated with UNLV.
