While focusing on communication inside romantic relationships, this study is focused on the role deception to promote relational satisfaction. Deception is a conscious attempt to create or perpetuate false impressions. I bring attention to existing research about deception to understand the effects it has on how happy someone is within their relationship. This project I will talk about the multiple motives behind deception, such as lying and interpretation. It will also include intentional and unintentional motives.
